Contraline is a medical device company based in Charlottesville, Virginia. We are developing the first long-lasting, non-hormonal, and reversible male contraceptive. Our mission is to improve the reproductive health of patients worldwide by commercializing state-of-the-art medical products.

Contraline is seeking a Product Engineer to support a variety of electrical engineering and prototyping responsibilities across research and development. We are seeking individuals with a positive attitude who are able to handle diverse workloads given the dynamic environment.

• Provide expertise in electrical engineering and rapid prototyping

• Assist in designing, developing, and manufacturing novel devices to accompany Contraline’s medical procedures

• Support human factors engineering program including conducting usability studies and validation testing

• Support Contraline’s risk management program including conducting risk assessments for device design, manufacturing, sterilization, and usability

• Support communication with component suppliers and CMOs

• Develop protocols on new techniques and translate protocols to SOPs

• Contribute to intellectual property creation and management

• Prepare data and reports for laboratory meetings, publications, patents, and submissions to the FDA

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering (MS degree preferred)

• 2-3+ years of industry experience designing, developing, and/or manufacturing devices; medical device industries are preferred

• Experience in developing products using design controls and human factors engineering

• Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills

• Creative, flexible, and independent thinking

• Works well in small, cross-functional teams
