Contraline is a medical device company based in Charlottesville, Virginia. We are developing the first long-lasting, non-hormonal, and reversible male contraceptive. Our mission is to improve the reproductive health of patients worldwide by commercializing state-of-the-art medical products.
Contraline is seeking a Vice President of Marketing to spearhead the marketing division for the company. Main responsibilities involve planning, executing, and managing the company’s marketing and communications strategies in alignment with the overall organizational and strategic objectives.
• Performing and coordinating market research studies to gain physician and end-user insights; analyzing insights to develop subsequent path-to-market strategies • Conducting and overseeing qualitative and quantitative research to identify customer needs, value propositions, and product positioning • Coordinating and interpreting human factors studies to gain physician insights and relaying information to R&D team • Helping develop business strategies including pricing models, product positioning, and insurance reimbursement strategies • Driving Contraline’s branding as well as managing outbound communications through website, PR, and social media channels • Maintaining website and collateral to ensure consistency throughout the organization • Engaging with field-related organizations and planning annual conference attendance schedule
• Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business administration or equivalent experience required; Master’s Degree in business administration preferred • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the life sciences industry; experience in the fields of urology or contraception is highly desired • Demonstrated leadership and ability manage multiple projects at once • Strong business acumen, communication skills, entrepreneurial spirit, and desire to work in a startup environment • Strong analytical, quantitative, and strategic thinking skills
